FUNDRAISER~Original Art on sale at York College

Want to own original artwork by professional artists at a MUCH LOWER COST?
Gallery director Matthew Clay-Robison has filled the gallery with original prints (woodcuts, etchings, lithographs, silkscreens, etc) that are being offered in exchange for donations to help one of his former students pay for his cancer treatments.
The student, Todd Gerundo, was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma cancer of the left hand in March of 2010. In order to contain the disease, Todd’s arm was amputated and he underwent 4 months of rigorous chemotherapy treatments. During his treatment Todd has gone deeply into debt and while his health recovers he and his friends have begun a fundraising campaign to help him pay off his medical bills and outstanding debts. The prints in the gallery are being offered in exchange for small donations, making this an excellent opportunity to begin an art collection at a very low cost. Most of the prints were made by Prof. Clay-Robison and his former students at University of Maryland, Moore College of Art, and Bloomsburg University. Many of these artists have begun careers as professional artists in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore, and DC. The suggested donation for small prints is $10 or 3/$25 (as opposed to $250-750 in a professional gallery,) though some prints are of a higher quality than others and smaller donations are certainly welcome.
The fundraiser will run from July 16 – 23 during normal work hours. If you would like to make a donation you can leave a check made out to Matthew Clay-Robison in the donation box or use the computer in the gallery to make a direct online donation. Last month, Gerald “Jerry” Sandusky was convicted of 45 out of 48 charges related to sexual assault that spanned more than ten years and involved over 5 young boys. Jerry Sandusky is in prison awaiting his sentencing expected to occur in September. He could get over 400 years in prison with a minimum of 70 years served before parole. In the wake of the scandal, Penn State University reacted to the truth in November of 2011 by firing Joe Paterno, the head football coach; Graham Spanier, the university’s president, and Athletic Director Tim Curley, after a Grand Jury presentment. Retired Vice President of Business and Finance Gary Shultz and Tim Curley are currently being charged with perjury in connection to the Grand Jury presentment. Hey PS…good luck with that tuition hike

The most recent board of Trustees met after losing four members. Increasing tuition at PS? They should be giving out scholarships right and left and helping the less privileged youth get a chance at a college education and watching or playing for a great football team. Wait…..they did do that.
Handing those children to the child rapist and big man on campus.
Sandusky must have felt elated at his bosses gift of young boys to molest in a charity program. He felt he could do anything, even rape young boys and get away with it. Not for a few hours or days, even months or years…but more than a decade.
Penn State football was the most important thing to them….see how that worked out.
Will Joe’s statue remain? Changing the stadium name? College name? Will more people come forward with information?
Will “We are Penn State Proud” mean anything after the biggest fuck-ups known in the history of child abuse cases and the handling of such?
The Lions Den will never be the same and it will forever remind people how one person having to much power can ruin the lives of many.

Pennsylvania Slum Lord Alert

Susan has been renting a mobile home at Reisinger’s Trailer Haven that is owned by an eighty+ year old lady who doesn’t want to deal with the trailers anymore. The are all owned by her, including the one Jerry Kennedy lives-in rent free for tending to the Haven.
Haven isn’t exactly the word I would use to described this mobile home park. This once was a nice mobile park. The yards are well-kept.
Kennedy will pitch a fit if you are even 2 or 3 inches in the grass. Last night he ordered Dale to get his truck off his grass. Dale backed up the truck and with my encouragement, he went to visit Kennedy about Susan’s bathroom leak. It began to leak heavily for the second time. Kennedy said he would check on it again. He knew his half-ass attempt of fixing it the first time was a joke. There have been many jokes Kennedy has played on the home.
We thought perhaps last night. As of 3:30 today, he has not checked on the mobile homes bathroom floor. The entire bathroom is slowly sinking down and the toilet is pulling away from the floor. It has reached the point of no return. The tiles in the kitchen and bathroom (those sticky square tiles) are broke and weakening by the second.
It is apparent the condition of the mobiles are low priority. Photos are from the home my sister rents for $480 a month. Kennedy almost refused her because of Blaine. He doesn’t want children living at the Haven. There were two children essentially evicted for having a mother who left them in the care of their grandmother who just happens to live in the Haven. I don’t know where 12-year-old Bree and her little brother are now. (Now I do know. They are living with their aunt and doing well.)
This mobile home has been painted, wallpapered and painted again. If it were not for the paint covering past leaks, one would not be able to stomach the look of the walls or ceilings.

Look out Mr. Kennedy, you are not taking care of you rented homes. The last thing older people need to live in are trailers filled with mold. I wonder how everyone else’s trailer is holding up?

Where is Ray Gricar? He didn’t report file charges against Sandusky

Ray Gricar is missing and has been for years. Just disappeared. Never to been seen or heard from again.
Did he want to file charges against Sandusky? Change his mind when he realized Sandusky was one bad example of a human-being?
Was there someone at Penn State powerful enough to make a District attorney vanish in 2005?
