A young boy has a lemonade stand set up with his father to raise money for Gold Star Mothers. This non-profit organization assists mothers who have lost their son or daughter during war. Matthew’s story is a little bit different as he lost his mother who was in the Army when he was just 11 months old. This is the second year he and his father are selling lemonade for 25 cents a cup. They started yesterday and have already raised $140 surpassing their previous years take of $47.
The stand is located on Log Cabin Road in Shiloh just off route 74 across from Valiant Tattoo shop. Coming from Dover it is just past the golf course and from York, just past Church Road. If you are in the area and want to support a great cause, stop at his stand and have a nice cold cup of lemonade. All funds raised are donated to Gold Star Mothers!
Happy Memorial Day and God Bless those who served in the military to keep us free!
