Narcissist~Fiona and Ken knew

Everyone is going to look at the title of this post and say “who knew?” but that’s okay.  Fiona and Ken know who they are and that’s all that matters.

Once, a long time ago when I still lived in my house, someone much younger than me stated “He is a narcissist.”  I agreed, knowing in general what a narcissist was.

Today, a fellow blogger made the same comment about another blogger but she added the definition of narcissistic personality.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder:
Symptoms of this disorder may include, but are not limited to:
Reacting to criticism with anger, shame, or humiliation
Taking advantage of others to reach their own goals
Exaggerating their own importance, achievements, and talents
Imagining unrealistic fantasies of success, beauty, power, intelligence, or romance
Requiring constant attention and positive reinforcement from others
Easily becoming jealous
Lacking empathy and disregarding the feelings of others
Being obsessed with oneself
Mainly pursuing selfish goals
Trouble keeping healthy relationships
Easily becoming hurt and rejected
Setting goals that are unrealistic
Wanting “the best” of everything
Appearing unemotional

Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need for admiration. Those with narcissistic personality disorder believe that they’re superior to others and have little regard for other people’s feelings. But behind this mask of ultra-confidence lies a fragile self-esteem, vulnerable to the slightest criticism.

After reading Fiona’s comment about another blogger it took me back to the day Ken said the same about John.

They were both right.

  1. I am still waiting for the next post by that certain blogger when she calls us all negative bullies again all because we dare suggest it might be nice if she acknowledged her followers existance occasionally lol

    • She must be reading some of them because she deleted the one where someone wrote “oh the things I would do to you Pattie…my dream is to be the meat between you and Talin in a blogger sandwich.” I thought it was funny, but I have a warped sense of humor…hehe

Also over night, I have 6 new followers. When I believe they are actually following me, I will do the same. 😉

      • I have actually unfollowed now but before I did I popped back and in true Talin style she has ignored all the comments I posted about her breakfast….

      • Shocking…I keep popping back just because her readers comments are priceless. They are either buttering her up or yanking the rug out from under her.

    • Missus Tribble says:

I may just be a plain old meanie-head, but I’ve nicknamed that blog “The Daily Trainwreck” and look forward to my email notifications about it with impish glee 😀

      • I’m hooked too…it’s a shame we read it just to giggle. Not that some posts aren’t meant for giggling but I know she is serious about what she writes, it just makes us giggle. 😉

      • Missus Tribble says:

I’ve unfollowed now, after giving her a few home truths!

(I hope you saw that and liked it as much as other people seem to have done)!

      • I unfollowed but she obviously hasn’t noticed what is amusing is read her testamonials full of people she visited and followed who like us foolishly returned the favour I can’t help how many others only looked and walked away before they had chance to realise they were being snubbed.

      • Missus Tribble says:

I’ve unfollowed now, after leaving a list of things I was tired of: Being ignored, being accused of nastiness when all I’ve ever given was constructive criticism, feeling as though I’m just another statistic on her follow list… and also said I could no longer read this inane drivel.

It got a lot of thumbs up votes!

      • just took a look at her posts as had received follow up comment emails we have been branded as bullies now of course and from todays post she has closed comments so only the love fest will continue

      • Missus Tribble says:

If feeling ignored and a little hurt about it and speaking out honestly makes me a bully then its meaning must have been changed in the dictionary! I don’t remember any name-calling going on?

Ah well, we both have real followers, so no loss 🙂

      • Her blog is mostly BS anyway.

      • Missus Tribble says:

      • I wish I got to see those home truths you wrote, they would have been more interesting than the stuff she writes! And she always says she’s going to comment, just give her time. How much time does one need?
Did you read the post where she actually didn’t let a complete stranger leave the public bathroom as they hadn’t washed their hands to her satisfaction? I mean, not washing your hands is gross but that gobsmacked me, that she would go that far!!

      • Missus Tribble says:

Seriously? I didn’t read that one, but then I skim most of the crap. That’s not only creepy, but is tantamount to assault or wrongful imprisonment or something! You don’t just accost a total stranger like that – and isn’t that a form of bullying?

        Girl seriously needs help.

      • and she says that SHE’S been bullied. She wants to be a spokeperson for the bullied.. if she thinks the blog commenting is bullying, gah. that’s not bullying, she hasn’t a clue. Anyway here is the post!!!

      • Missus Tribble says:

        *splutter* Seriously??

Glad to see that she got called out as a bully, and also had it explained to her why some people deliberately avoid ALL THE GERMS in a public toilet. I’ll only wash my hands in there if the toilet has an automatic flush and the taps are also automatic and I use paper towels instead of the dryer. I don’t know about the States, but over here you come out of public toilets more germy than you were when you went in!

      • they can be seriously gross here, too. I hate touching the taps to turn them on and off personally, I prefer to have wipes and hand sanitiser handy. For all Talin knew, that lady could have done that. It’s not any of her business at all! And to say she wants to speak out on tv against bullying when the comments were her idea of bullying.. I just can’t *groans*
        talk about out of touch!

      • Missus Tribble says:

More like “off the planet”. She’s the worst kind of bully and doesn’t even recognise this in herself!

Remember when she lectured all her readers on etiquette because a group of friends at the next table didn’t sit there all formal and just piled in to their meal? Eating out is all about chatting with people you love and *not* having to mind your manners isn’t it? That just smacked of the jealousy of a lonely person dining out alone.

      • Yes.. 😦 😦 😦
Actually I’ve noticed nearly every ranting post she writes describes herself..

      • Missus Tribble says:

Exactly! The words “pot” and “kettle” always enter my head when I read her rants. And that’s all they are. Rants. She never writes anything inspiring or productive, just rambles on about a very dull life in which nothing has even happened yet and lectures people who know far more than she does. Sad.

      • and tells us how happy and positive she is and how negative and horrible we are.. when it’s quite the opposite really 😦

      • Missus Tribble says:

        *nods in 100% agreement*

After all, it’s not our fault she’s jobless and lonely and nobody wants to date her.

      • no never… it’s always everyone else’s fault.
I never can get over people like this, who think that it’s every one else. Especially that a whole bunch of people can be saying the same thing but they are all in the wrong, not the one person (herself) who doesn’t agree!

      • Missus Tribble says:

As you and Martha and others have said… lost cause and own worst enemy. It’s really quite sad.

      • 😦 yes

      • Missus Tribble says:

It’s just occured to me: Blogging about your stinky pee on a public platform where you hope to be noticed by editors and publishers is a really clever way to get taken seriously. Why didn’t I know this handy little tip before??? 😀

      • well it might not attract oprah or ellen, but dr oz might be interested…

      • Missus Tribble says:

The more I think about the possible detrimental effects of blogging publically about such a thing the more it cracks me up!

Not just because of who wrote it, but because it would be a hilarious thing for any would-be writer to leave public!

      • The internets never forgets!!! In the future it might just come back to haunt her… :/

      • Missus Tribble says:

I can just imagine a job interview going in her favour now… :/

      • I learned that potential employers of writers don’t care what you write about as long as it’s well-written.

That means she’ll never get a writing job.

      • Missus Tribble says:

        Heh, true that.

  2. It’s weird that of all the comments she could have deleted, she deletes one about YOU!!! Weird. And I have to admit, as ‘bad’ as it makes me feel about myself – I’m hooked on the trainwreck. My commenting isn’t from a nice part of me, it’s me poking between the bars of a cage at the zoo, trying to get any reaction at all. That’s why I feel bad <–
I'm glad you had an 'aha' moment about your soon-ex. I didn't know what a narcissist REALLY was til recently either. Of course we all know about the Greek (?) Legend of Narcissus, but that only just begins to even touch on it. "Malignant Narcissist" is the correct term for your husband most likely (since I've never met him, I can only guess).
I hope you get out and keep yourself safe, asap. Hang on to what you know is true – because he will probably lie to you and make you doubt yourself, make you doubt things you know to be as true as the sky is blue.
I'm in a pretty good group on facebook too – Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Central. Don’t worry about the marketing for the group leader’s program, although it sounds helpful you don’t have to do it, it’s the support and the safety of the group that makes it. You are not alone xxx
PS yes I wonder about the commenters who seem either blind to how… nuts this is, or ????!!

  3. Missus Tribble says:

… And I wonder if you can take a guess as to whose blog I found you on? I can’t seem to stay away because the comments are so funny!

I also have two ex-husbands, and an ex-fiance who was a definite narcissist.

  4. Fiona, you really nailed it there. The comments I leave come from another part of me, too – perhaps I was trying too hard to “fix” her. I don’t know. But I stopped commenting, pretty much after you commented about her never replying to comments. (Noticed this morning that she was angry about that, too, saying she’d get around to it – ?????). Anyway, you’ll all enjoy the most recent – and honestly, I cannot wait for the adulation to begin, especially since she actually tells her fans about her smelly urine.

    • She should have titled it “Pee Post”

    • she never gets around to it either, and she’s always angry that we DARE to ask her to acknowledge them. Personally, I think she has huge problems, maybe she even has some sort of learning disability or something that makes her a bit slow. Most of all I think she’s a narcissist – it just fits to a tee, all that ‘get me on tv, get me on ellen, get me on Oprah’ etc stuff, and the fact that she does seem to think she’s a lot better than anyone else and that we should worship her! Gag. I did want to ‘fix’ her too – or at least ‘help’ her – extend a friendly hand to a fellow blogger who seemed to be struggling and perhaps overwhelmed by the blogging world. But I now realise, it’s not a case of she doesn’t know how to blog properly, it’s a case of she doesn’t WANT to – she wants us to click on her and sit down and shut up and listen. Oh, and like and share her facebook too 😛

      • Missus Tribble says:

Well she never bothered to like MY FB page, but did anyone see me get my knickers in a knot over it? Um, NO.

Also, the comment I left was along the lines of: “I can’t read this inane drivel any more. You ignore me, call me a bully when I try to help you and then you expect me to sit and read this crap and tell you how wonderful you are? That is never going to happen. Maybe you have a problem with saying goodbye, but I don’t. Goodbye.”

That didn’t come from a nice part of me either. I was very, very angry and automatically jumped on her when others did. As you said, Fiona, it’s fun to poke and get a reaction, however predictable.

    • Missus Tribble says:

She WHAT??? OMG, I was so interested in her breakfast that I just HAVE to know about her stinky pee! Where’s the link??
(And what next? The consistency of her poo? Oh wait… her poo is all over her blog…)

Go ahead...take a swing. I'll duck and listen.
